Leadership training runs through everything cadets do at 1015 (Horsham) Squadron, from your very first parade night onwards.
As you progress, you’ll work through the cadet classifications — First Class, Leading, Senior and Master Cadet — taking on more responsibility at each stage.
Selected cadets can be promoted to Cadet NCO ranks (Corporal, Sergeant, Flight Sergeant and Warrant Officer), leading fellow cadets on parade and during activities.
The squadron can also put cadets forward for Wing and Regional Leadership Courses, and cadets aged 16 and over can work towards an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) qualification — a genuine, employer-recognised leadership award gained while still at school.
