Flight simulation gives cadets a genuine taste of flying without leaving the ground, using realistic simulator setups with authentic controls, instruments and flight dynamics.
The Air Cadets have also launched a dedicated RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) Training Squadron, giving cadets the chance to learn to fly drones and work towards recognised UK Civil Aviation Authority qualifications.
It’s a fast-growing area of aviation, and a great fit for cadets interested in technology as much as flying.
