Target shooting is one of the Air Training Corps’ longest-running activities, and a core part of cadet training at 1015 (Horsham) Squadron.
Cadets are introduced to shooting on the squadron’s own air rifle range, learning safe handling, marksmanship and range discipline under the supervision of trained instructors.
As cadets progress, there are opportunities to try the L98A2, a cadet version of the rifle used by the British Armed Forces, at approved ranges, and to compete in squadron, wing and national shooting competitions.
Safety comes first in everything we do. Every session is run to strict Air Cadet Organisation range standing orders, by qualified range conducting officers.
